Access ESRI Addin Information From Custom DLL?

0

I've been tasked with adding some additional functionality regarding Esri Addin information to an ArcMap custom DLL my company uses. So far, I haven't had much luck finding any documentation on how to programmatically access Esri Addin information during an ArcMap session in C#. My naive solution is currently manipulating the addin to extract the version from it's XML but I feel this is a brute force solution and that a better approach exists.

Are their known API calls I can make during an ArcMap session to gather information about addins?
