I am a fairly new user of QGIS 3.6: I have a river system consisting of a main stem and several tributaries. In preparation for using LRS (to create 'events from an XL table with chainages), I first use the QChainage plugin to establish start and finish points on main stem and all tributaries. Each of these tributaries have a 'headwater' number, which I use as route identifier. I get a new table (points) 'Chain' that includes the route id (fid) plus the chainage (cngmeter). However, the route numbers are all changed. I cannot see any system in how the numbers are changed, they just seem random, but chosen from the original list of route identifiers. Currently, I manually correct these before calibrating in LRS, but is it something, I have forgotten to do correctly or is it a bug?
