I'm currently going through the GIS 20 essential skills book where I have to fix labels. I have changed the setting from simple to maplex and now I couldn't figure out how to assign buffers to label using conflict detection tab in maplex. Usually, I would assign "2" to a simple label. So how do I do that in maplex? It got two choices; Interior boundary features and exterior boundary features. I tried entering the same for maplex but the results are still chaos.
